Honda Jazz Hybrid

August 28, 2010 :: Posted by - automotive website :: Category - Hybrid Cars

Honda Jazz lovers will soon see a hybrid version of their favourite car as Honda is planning a world debut for this version at the Paris Motor Show. The Paris Motor Show will be held in September. The new version will have lower emissions and an improved fuel economy. Honda had launched its Civic Hybrid in 2008 in India. But even after being the first Hybrid executive sedan to enter the Indian markets, Civic Hybrid could not make the slightest impression in comparison to the Toyota Prius, its globally stronger branded competitor. The Toyota Prius was launched in India in 2009.

The new hybrid version of Honda Jazz will have all the practicality and flexibility of the current Jazz. But the new version will have lower CO2 emissions and other improvements to fuel economy. The new version of Honda Jazz will go on sale in the UK in early 2011. The hybrid version of new Jazz will have the similar engine as Honda’s Insight hybrid. It will have a 1.3-litre i-VTEC engine combined with a CVT gearbox. A parallel hybrid system will also be there in this version. The hybrid Jazz will have the capability of running on the electric motor alone under some medium and low speed conditions, just like the Insight and Civic Hybrid models. The hybrid Jazz is also expected to manage and maintain the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions at comparable levels.

The hybrid version of Honda Jazz will also differ from its original version in terms of revised headlights which will have a blue surround. There will be clear rear lights and a new front grille. The restyled bumpers and a chrome tailgate garnish will be the other added features. The new hybrid Jazz will be available in a range of exciting colours and will include the new shade of a bespoke Lime Green metallic. The cabin of the new version will be given a new look and will have a darker single colour dashboard. Along with the new hybrid Jazz, Honda will display the 2011 model year Insight, CR-Z, Jazz, CR-V, Accord and Accord Tourer and a sports touring motorcycle VFR1200F which will be equipped with the V4 engine.

Top Tips Before Taking Your Car On Holiday

August 23, 2010 :: Posted by - automotive website :: Category - Automotive Maintenance

Summer is here, (well, in theory) and with current economic situations many people are choosing to stay in the country for their holiday to save a bit of cash. If you’re going to drive you may want to check one or two things on your car first and just perform a bit of basic car maintenance.

The last thing you want to do when you get to your destination is try to find a mechanic (especially one you can trust) because something’s gone wrong. If you’ve noticed any niggling noises or anything out of the normal in your car, check it out now, even if it’s nothing, you may be too focused on finding your way around your holiday destination to notice if it gets worse (if you’ve got kids, you may not even hear your engine screaming at you over the cries of ‘are we nearly there yet?’). You don’t want to start your holiday off waiting for your breakdown service while the family head to the beach.

Red Light Cameras

August 19, 2010 :: Posted by - automotive website :: Category - Car Accessories

Red light cameras are becoming more and more popular throughout the United States as the country continues to grow in population. As the amount of traffic on the roadways increase; states, counties and townships are looking for easier and more effective ways to enforce the rules of the road. One of those ways is the development of red light cameras, which became widely popular a handful of years ago in major cities. Red light cameras are used to help police departments enforce red light laws at major, sometimes even, extremely dangerous intersections without having to place an officer at the scene.
